Felipe VI visits the stand of a firm from Navarre at the food fair
At the international event in Barcelona, the monarch took an interest in the range of products offered by Quesos Albéniz, based in Olazagutía.
On Monday, King Felipe VI attended the opening of the Alimentaria 2024 international trade fair in Barcelona and visited some of its more than 3,200 exhibitors, including that of the Navarrese company Quesos Albéniz. This is a company based in Olazagutía with more than 40 years of tradition in cheese making and 14 years of international expansion. Today, 54 countries are covered by the company. During the visit, representatives of the company belonging to the Quesos La Vasco Navarra Group were able to show Felipe VI some of the company’s more than 200 products, as well as its new products and current projects.
The cheese producer from Olazagutía has been at the food fair for more than a quarter of a century. “It was a pleasure for us to be able to show the King some of our star products such as Gran Reserva and ‘V de Navarra’ cheese made in Navarra, a traditional product produced using traditional methods, and which reflects our commitment to our land and the quality of our products”, says Ramón Pérez de Albéniz, CEO of the company.
